The Athom Homey Pro, the best flexible home automation solution
Jan-Willem31 Dec 2021 Homey 0 Comments
The Athom Homey Pro is a home automation controller manufactured by Athom B.V. based in The Netherlands to setup a smart home. It is the base station for your smart home to control devices and collect data from them (for example temperature or energy consumption). It is available as a standard model, Homey, and as Homey Pro. Homey manages 7 communication protocols such as for example Z-wave, Zigbee, infrared and wireless.
This makes it possible to connect some 50000 devices from approximately 1000 brands. It can be accessed via iOS and Android mobile apps or via your internet browser to control devices directly, define rule based scenarios to steer devices and insight in your energy consumption and sensor data.

Jan-Willem7 Mar 2021 Hall, Homey 0 Comments
Monitori water consumption of our analog Elster V200 water meter via Homey involved some puzzling to find the right equipment to fetch the pulses from the water meter and make them available in Homey. I decided to go for:
– Elster Falcon PR6 pulse reading module
– Youless Energy monitor LS120
It provides us now water consumption charts, waterflow charts and Homey flow possibilities to initiate actions. This article describes my journey to get the water consumption monitored via Homey.
